Ideal for auto and marine body sanding applications, the pad's soft density foam with a 45 deg tapered edge closely conforms to contours and curves to deliver a uniform finish and minimize rework. The 3M Stikit soft abrasive disc backup pad achieves an efficient medium between cut rate and conformability. When removing paint from large areas requiring precision across contours and curves, obtaining uniform results can be a challenge. Designed for use with a coarse grade abrasive sanding disc, this high quality backup pad has an inch of soft foam to ensure a soft, fine scratch, while the tapered edge flexes for continual contact with the workpiece. Moreover, the foam reduces vibration common with large rotary sanders, increasing the clarity of the finish and improving operator comfort.
