3M Scotch-Weld urethane adhesive 3549 is a brown, non-sag, 2-component polyurethane adhesive. This urethane adhesive has a 60 min work-life for panel bonding or repositioning. Ideal for bonding dissimilar substrates, such as composites, SMC, FRP, many plastics, ceramic, wood, rubber and metal. As compared to 1-part sealants, this non-sag, 2-component polyurethane adhesive, 3M Scotch-Weld urethane adhesive 3549 is fast-curing. This adhesive establishes tough bonds and offers low temperature flexibility. 3M Scotch-Weld urethane adhesives 3549 becomes a non-sag paste upon mixing for accurate and precise handling during application. This adhesive can be used for bonding dissimilar substrates, such as concrete, ceramic, wood, plastic, rubber and metal. With a 1:1 mix ratio, this urethane adhesive has a 60 min work-life, reaches handing strength in 8 hr and full cure in 7 days. 3M Scotch-Weld urethane adhesives 3549 cures at room temperature or with heat. This option gives you control over how quickly a bond establishes a certain level of shear strength. At room temperature, 3M Scotch-Weld™ urethane adhesives 3549 reaches handling strength in 7 days. Upon application, its 60 min work-life presents flexibility and provides ample time for adjustment and positioning to achieve optimum results. 2-part urethane adhesives cure chemically, rather than relying on moisture from the air. Because of this, they can cure quickly with no depth of cure issues in contrast to 1-part urethane adhesive sealants.
