3M Hookit disc pad securely holds a 3M Hookit sanding or finishing disc or 3M Finesse-it buffing pad for use with a handheld sanding tool such as a rotary, orbital or random orbital sander. The 45 deg tapered edge provides flexibility and allows the sanded area to be feather edged or more easily blended. 3M Hookit hook and loop feature makes disc attachment, removal and reattachment easy and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit disc pads have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook and loop applications. Hookit disc pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of 3M Hookit discs and provide a finer finish than do adhesive backed discs. The Hookit system is designed for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt or flying debris.
